The waitlist

Joining is free. Your position can change as people join and invite friends. Early access opens in waves by neighborhood, and we may adjust timing.

Founding owners

The first 50 owners who claim a founding spot list free for up to 5 units for as long as firsthand offers listings. Additional units are $299 per listing.

What firsthand is

firsthand is a listing and application platform. Owners set their own terms and make their own decisions. firsthand does not negotiate leases on anyone's behalf and does not charge renters to see listings.

Fair housing

firsthand follows federal, New York State and New York City fair housing law. Lawful source of income, including housing vouchers, counts toward income requirements. We don't run criminal background checks, and owners only see information about income, credit, rent history and timing.
